- I do not live in the UK. Can I play the National Lottery?
In order to play the UK National Lottery you must purchase a ticket in person from an official retailer. If you do not live in the UK then you may play if you visit the UK on holiday but there is no other way in which you can play.
If you are a UK resident (with a UK bank account) are you are going to be abroad for longer than the 8 weeks advance that you can purchase at a retailer then you can subscribe to the National Lottery and Thunderball through Camelot. More information is available in our information section.

- I've seen a website that claims it will allow me to play the UK National Lottery. Is this allowed?
No. Any web site that is offering to purchase UK National Lottery tickets on your behalf is not an approved retailer and is not authorised to sell you tickets. Under the rules and regulations of the UK National Lottery reselling of tickets is prohibited and any winning tickets that the operator of the National Lottery believe to have been resold will be deeemed void meaning that you will not receive any winnings.
If you wish to play a lottery over the Internet then I suggest PLUS Lotto. This is the longest established online lottery and I can personally recommend them and verify that they do pay out. PLUS Lotto
